Trained and professional providers include Obstetricians (OBGYN), family physicians, certified nurse midwives (CNM), certified professional midwives (CPM), and licensed direct entry midwives (LDEM).

Hospital-based

Classes vary but may include: six week series, weekend intensive, childbirth refresher, natural birth series, HypnoBirthing--the Mongan Method, Cesarean birth, breastfeeding, newborn parenting, beyond the basics parenting, siblings, siblings at birth, babysitting

Classes vary but may include: childbirth preparation, baby basics, breastfeeding, babysitter, car seat, Infant CPR
Salt Lake Regional
U of U Hospital
Classes vary but may include: Prepared Childbirth series, super childbirth prep, mindfulness and meditation for birth, breastfeeding, carseat safety, comfort and coping skills, new parent, postnatal, sibling prep, expecting multiples, VBAC, cesarean section, young moms (12-19 years old)
Birth Doulas
A doula provides non-medical physical, emotional, and informational support during labor. Research shows that continuous support during labor, such as that provided by a doula, leads to a shorter labor, decreased use of extra medical interventions and cesarean section, better infant outcomes, and higher birth satisfaction!
